Joseph Gárate

Joseph Gárate is a native of Los Angeles. He earned a B.M. and an M.M. in Vocal Performance from CSULA where he studied with Susan Kane. As a soloist Joseph has appeared throughout the country in a number of operas, oratorios, and concert works. In addition to his work in classical music, Joseph is a songwriter, recording artist, DJ, and bandleader whose project D I A M O N D S has showcased at a variety of venues throughout the country including festival appearances at Echo Park Rising, Make Music Pasadena, Lightning in a Bottle, and SXSW. Joseph's original compositions for film and television have been featured in Michelle Tea's "Release the Bats" and the web series "Awkward Ali."
