The Board of Directors and the members of the Verdi Chorus invite you to join the Friends of the Verdi Chorus, our new support group. The goals of the group include assisting the Chorus to continue to fulfill its goal of providing fine operatic performances in the Southern California area by building and maintaining audience loyalty and growth, fundraising, developing additional Verdi Chorus activities, and improving relationships with the communities in which we serve.

The growth of The Verdi Chorus in the recent past both in the way it has been accepted as a part of the artistic community and in the quality of its performances has been unparalleled. But that growth has come at a financial cost. Like all of the arts, difficult financial times have stressed our budget, and increased expenses have made our community outreach difficult.

The Friends of the Verdi Chorus brings not only financial support to the organization but also an opportunity for those who love opera to become more involved with the chorus in a non-singing

role. Through the “Friends” you can meet Chorus members, attend rehearsals, and lend your personal support to those that make wonderful music.

Here’s a way to increase your knowledge of fine opera by networking with those of like interests. The Friends of the Verdi Chorus plans seminars, meetings, and social events where you can “talk opera” and share musical experiences. We hope you will give consideration to joining the Friends of the Verdi Chorus at this time. We welcome your participation, and are grateful for your support in recent years. Please help us continue to fulfill our mission of bringing fine operatic performances to Southern California.
